Our story began with a deep desire for a healthier, more balanced life. We once lived in the bustling city of Toronto, where the fast-paced lifestyle took a toll on our well-being. Realizing that we needed a change, we made the bold decision to leave behind the hustle and embark on a new adventure in search of tranquility and purpose.

Our journey led us to the serene landscapes of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, a region renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and rich biodiversity. The beginnings of Vayu were humble, with a desired focus on peace and serenity, we often asked ourselves if we made a huge mistake. We are proud to say that we didn’t, the story of Vayu is just getting started, and we are so grateful to share it with all that visit us.

This is what excellence is all about! What an experience! Unforgettable stay in this enchanting place! Everything was perfect. From the modern, spacious room to the meticulous details. Everything is thought out and magnificent. The pool is sumptuous. The restaurant is a marvel of delicate flavors. And what can I say about the owners Rafael and Marc! Always at the service of their guests. We were even treated to a private concert by Rafael. What a delight! We highly recommend this fabulous establishment. A place not to be missed on your visit to Costa Rica.

Our favourite hotel ever. We booked Vayu for a relaxing retreat at the end of our trip around Costa Rica for 4 nights at the beginning of February, to fully relax and take some time for ourselves at the end of our 3 week adventure. This place went so way beyond our already-high expectations and we were blown away with how lucky we were to have found this gorgeous pocket of heaven on the Costa Rican coast. The whole retreat was stunning - from the saltwater pool to the creek that ran alongside the property, to the veranda with swinging chairs and our beautiful room - we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We couldn’t have asked for a more serene and beautiful time and we will be back soon. I recommend this place to absolutely everyone that will listen to me!

Little Gem We chose Vayu Retreat for the last 3 days of our holiday. It was perfect to relax by the stunning pool and reflect on our amazing Costa Rican experiences. Luxurious, restful and boutique. A very warm welcome and Delicious menu choices made our stay very special . I especially loved the raw beetroot ravioli. Breakfast was so good too. A little gem for sure, we absolutely loved it.

Great Place and Service! We celebrated our anniversary at Vayu. The place is beautiful, private and in the middle of the jungle. The service was awesome, the team even had a special gift for our anniversary. We will never forget it and definitely we will come back!
