NuRaw is part of your stay, not a separate experience. Our chefs work with local farms, the Uvita market, and what each season brings. One dinner seating at 6:30pm. Breakfast 7:30–9:30am. Both included.

A few details worth knowing before you arrive. For anything else, our concierge is one message away — we typically reply within a few hours.
There are two distinct seasons. Dry season (December to April) offers sunshine, easier travel, and reliable weather. Green or wildlife season (May to November) brings lush landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices.
July through October is peak season for southern hemisphere humpbacks — the best chances for sightings. December through March brings northern hemisphere humpbacks. Marino Ballena National Park, 25 minutes from Vayu, is the whale watching capital of Costa Rica. Vayu arranges whale watching tours on request for guests.
Privacy, natural beauty, and the combination of jungle and Pacific coast make it ideal for couples. Vayu's Romance in the Rainforest package starts at $530/night and includes champagne on arrival, a candlelit private dinner, 1 couples massage and personalized concierge support. Minimum 3 nights.
Every stay includes gourmet breakfast daily, a three-course dinner at NuRaw Restaurant (Half-board rate plan), smart-home suite controls, espresso machine, mini fridge, daily housekeeping, outdoor pool access, and digital concierge. No hidden fees — 13% Costa Rican VAT is the only addition.
Approximately 4 hours by car via the Costanera Highway. Alternatively, a 15-minute domestic flight to Quepos (XQP) followed by 1 hour driving south. Private transfers are available on request from either airport.
No 4×4 is required — standard sedans and compact SUVs access the property easily. Many guests arrive with a car, but private transfer with all excursions arranged through the concierge is another option. A car makes independent exploration easier but is not essential.
Whale watching at Marino Ballena National Park (25 min), snorkeling at Caño Island, hiking Corcovado National Park, Nauyaca Waterfalls (45 min), nature hikes and birding right from Vayu's quiet location, 7 different beaches, golf at Osa Golf, canyoning, and horseback riding. Vayu's digital concierge arranges all excursions.
Vayu has four suites, not forty. That means genuinely personal service from owner-operators Marc and Rafael, no crowds, and a stay that never feels transactional. Our unique digital wellness offerings like breathwork & meditation are available at any time and on your own schedule. Another factor is our ease of access; no difficult mountainous terrain to navigate.
Vayu does not have a dedicated spa facility — yet. Massage, yoga, energy healing, aromatherapy, and light therapy are all delivered privately in your suite, on your schedule. Look out for updates on our new wellness space coming soon.
